panda pup

This owner is just plain evil. He painted his regularly brown chow chow to look like a panda. Check out his handy work:

I am sure if he had a cat he would buy that Hello Kitty transformation set.

Disgusting. Poor chow chow! I'd like to do that on its owner!

Cute. But I kinda feel bad for the dog.

Anonymous said...

the dog looks really cute and all but this is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the dog probably went through soo much to look like that and he will scare people (not that pandas are scary or anything) b/c you dont seea panda everyday! this owner is quite cruel

Anonymous said...

u people r wrong y wood u paint a poor dog!

kendra said...

u r wrong never paint an animal it hurts their skin!!!!

Look at the fur, this dog wasn't 'painted' he was dyed. There are safe products out there that can be used on dogs, his eyes are properly responding to the flash, and he doesn't look at all like he is abused or in pain.

Anonymous said...

Lol.. wow it's quite funny when someone who actually knows what they're talking about gets involved. And then u think to yourself fuck thats really not that cruel.. It actually is pretty cute and i think in the right circles it'd attract the right attention.. I have to say, that is a great piece of work!

Anonymous said...

I'm glad somebody else came in here and addressed the issue you guys are having with it. It's not abuse, and I really doubt they do this to it on an every day basis. That would be a lot of work. It may be dyed for a special occasion, like Halloween.

But I admit.. The dog does look super cute.

Anonymous said...

you there is such a thing as a white chow chow....it was probably one of those...not a brown one....

Anonymous said...

Creative but probably not the best for the poor animal. He is adorable though. If he used a product specifically for this then it wouldn't be so bad. And if he didn't use it around his eyes. That's the bad thing about it.

Anonymous said...

you need locking up

Don't you guys watch "Groomer Has It" on Animal Planet?? There are safe products that can be used to color dogs' fur! There are a variety of colors too. Lastnight, one groomer colored a male poodle blue. He looked so cute! Pick up an issue of "Groomer to Groomer" magazine and you'll see tons of dogs painted! There is nothing cruel about this at all. This is fantastic art work and in my opinion, the Chow looks adorable. The colors wash out easily. :)

Anonymous said...

sure, it's mean (or maybe it's not...i don't know). but it sure is cute!! =)

Anonymous said...

You are an idiot! you should be behind bars it is not funny or cute but cruel!!!!!!! You are an idiot!!!!!!1

Anonymous said...

I'm amazed the dog stood still long enough to get dyed...my chow only likes brushing...any other grooming act....fights tooth and nail (especially the nail part...LOL) I've always thought dying poodles a color was silly...as is those stupid hair cuts they give them...poodles look great with a "normal" cut instead of that "foo foo" cut. I say...let a dog be what he is...a dog....and to continue my rant....I also take issue with what the show ring is doing to so many breeds...it has just about ruined the German Shepard...breeding it's hind end so low...now the breed has a multitude of hip and back problems that it never had before...just because a group of people decided that was the look to go for...I think that is way more cruel than a little food coloring....but, that's just my opinion....I could be wrong...BUT I DON'T THINK SO!

Anonymous said...

its not cruel, if you think why its cruel you better have a good reason for it, but one thing that is cruel is having a rainbow dyed dog, and besides you can dye a dog with food coloring which is safe and it dosen't harm the dog or the skin, it is practically safe. In my opinion it a dream come true to have a pink poodle or any other breed.

FooFoo said...

Cute idea, but animals shouldn't be played with as if they are toys or a game. They have feelings too. I know dogs, especially poodles, get dyed fancy colours and all that, but they're supposed to be your friend, not an object for attention!

Anonymous said...

It is cute but I feal sorry for the dog. I understand that there are color products for dogs but still, it is like dressing up dogs i know it doesn't hurt them but that isn't what dogs are for. If you think dogs are for accesories then you shouldn't have a dog. Dogs are like friends and family most people wouldn't dress up their friends in ridiculous cloths and parade them around all the time would they?

Anonymous said...

Just plain irresponsible.

Anonymous said...

I don't care if the dye is harmless or not you do NOT paint your dog! Your dog did NOT give you permission to do that to it, so keep it to yourself paint your own face and hair! Leave the poor dog out of it!
Paint yourself tattoo yourself up if you really want attention that badly, sick! Pathetic.

Anonymous said...

Holy Hell this is the funniest damn thing I have ever seen. The dude who did this is a bloody genius. The dog looks happy and healthy, so I really don;t see why so many people are bitching about this whole thing

Anonymous said...

calm down people, don't be stupid
I bet you by paint they mean he dyed the dog's hair

besides I love pandas it looks cute but if the owner did paint.... well I don't know what to tell you

Anonymous said...

I agree with certain people above yes there are products that you can do it with safely but that doesn't make it morally right. A pet should be part of the familar to be loved and cared for not paraded like jewellery. People who pain animals and go to extremes cutting and making so called art dogs need to get a grip and find more important things to do with their time.

Anonymous said...

Oh that's from a news article about this Chinese singer Li who is head of some panda-saving campaign, and decided to dye his chowchow like a panda for his charity events.

Trust me the Chinese media already gave him hell about animal cruelty, there is increasing awareness of pet benefits and protection in China which is cool...

Anonymous said...

who do you think you are? painting a poor animal? that's animal cruelty! 911 please?!?!

Jayar said...

What the hell(imagin a worse obsenity) is wrong with you people?!?!

The dog looks both cute and cool, fine fine a Chow Chow is cute too but this is just too cool...

It sounds like the only way you people can imagin the owner painting him is if you hang him the tail spin him and just fire off the "fokin" spray gun... You people and you nerrowminded judgment DISCUSTS me...

Love the dog, I want one!! (wish i could own one where i live) and maby I would trim his hair so he would look like a complete lion!!

You nerrow minded PETA manipulated basterds... you know who the F** you are.

Anonymous said...

You PETA idiots are hillarious.

Ever heard of DOG SAFE paint?

Its hillarious. You'll paint your hair but if someone dyes a dog its "KREWITYY11!"

Anonymous said...

WOW
ALOT OF PPL COMMENTED THIS
PICTURE AND I PRETTY
SURE THIS IS NOT ANIMAL ABUSE
BECAUSE IT DOESNT LOOK LIKE
IT WAS HURT ERRR NOTHING LIKE
THAT AND SUREE
IT WAS WROGE OF HIM TO DO THAT..
BUT THE CHOW CHOW LOOKS CUTEEE
AND SUPER CUTE!!! Don't you guys watch "Groomer Has It" on Animal Planet?????? There are safe products that can be used to color dog'S fur! There are ALOT of colors too.one groomer colored a male poodle blue.

Anonymous said...

I'm completely against animal cruelty and all, but this is not a case to freak out about. The dog most likely didn't go through any pain in this. Unless, like the comment above me said, he was hung by his tail and shot at will a painting gun. I think he looks so cute, yet a little frightening :D

Anonymous said...

he painted his eyes! poor chow chow blind

Olivia said...

Some people are so stupid.. It wouldn't hurt their skin. If simple hair dye hurt a dog's skin, the FDA would have to shut Loreal, Pantene, Revlon, Herbal Essences, and all of Hollywood down.
So shut up.

It's a sweet look. I'd like to know how people reacted when he/she took it for a walk =]

Chingo said...

well that's obvious! ...that it's not paint.. or the fur would look matted.. lol .. she/he does look like a real panda!!!

best looking chow chow i've ever seen!!

Anonymous said...

ha ha! that's so cute! is his/her name panda?? lmao!

Anonymous said...

I think this looks adorable, because chow chows and panda's are both the most precious animals, well to me atleast. & this isn't animal cruelty, its safe for the animal obviously. I think if it were harmful to the animal he wouldn't put it on the dog or even post this picture in the internet in the first place. So use your common sense fools. Clearly, its not abuse.

Anonymous said...

To all the people claiming this is cruel, I am a dog groomer by trade and this colouring would have been dones by a professional with years of experience. Therefore there would not have been any risk to the dog.

Do not throw harsh accusations about until you know the whole story, which you obviously don't.

Working in the dog grooming industry I have seen a lot of dogs who love to go to the salon and get washed trimmed and dyed.

Trust me this would not have been possible if the dog was not comfortable with it.
Find something more constructive with your life than bagging people.

Anonymous said...

look at it,its funny..its not like the dog even knew what was going on it probably just thought it was having a bath....u cant do anything these days without people sayin "animal cruelty" yet were allowed to dye poodles and chop off there fur and people jus say awwwwwwwww..so if you ask me im gona make my chow chow look like a lion!!

Anonymous said...

Get a life, it's not like he's beating the dog over the head with a can of dye. Why do people dress up their children extra cute? To parade them around, why not do it with a dog? I'd love to do that to my dog...but labs don't make very good pandas :)

Anonymous said...

Looks like the only "dye" is the white, black looks like his natural fur color. So with that being said it's not like he started pouring black dye around his eyes. It's cute, but i wouldn't do it everyday or month or year. Maybe a one time thing.

Anonymous said...

he looks adorable

Anonymous said...

I wish i could dye/tatto/color his owner's skin wif nice colors.. aka like a CLOWN..!

The chowchow may be happier knowing his owner is a CLOWN!

erica said...

i can't believe anyone thinks this is abuse, it's dyed the exact same way that cats are dyed all the time, you can look it up, there are books about it, how cats can be dyed with no side effects at all whatsoever.

Anonymous said...

that dog is mint
i want 1
im going to do it to my dog :)

Anonymous said...

I think it is adorable and i dont think the dog would mind at all he probably enjoys all the extra attention so what ever its cute

Bri said...

aww i dont think that's mean at all. I would do it to my dog and i am a HUGE animal lover. That dog doesn't look like he's being tortured, and frankly, it's VERY convincing haha i had to do a double take.

Anonymous said...

the person's responsable for this should spend life in prision, and If I can find them I am a profesional soldier and will do the right thing for the chow...

phlegmfatale said...

Get a grip.
The dog probably LOVED being handled by its owner so extensively, and so long as they used a safe product for coloring the dog, what harm could there be?

Anonymous said...

is dog wearing a panda suit

Anonymous said...

it looks like the poor chow chow had to go to lengths to look like this..whats the point!! it now looks like a panda on a lead anyway--> so hopefully if the owner takes it for a walk people will take notice (cos a panda on a lead looks pretty messed up/animal cruelty and all that) and he will not do this again.
i hope this chow chow is treated well...they are such adorable creatures!

Anonymous said...

your heka messed up for doing that why why why wuld you DO that are you half stupid well you must be to do sumething that dumn i really want to meat you and talk some sence into you are i wuld smack it into you cuz your heka retared if you wanted a fucking panda you shoud have bout one are go see one NOT DIE A DOGS HAIR WTF IS WRONG WIT YOU!!!!!...

Anonymous said...

wow, you guys our seriously over reacting. It didn't hurt the dog physically in any way.. how many of you dye your hair? same thing, just all over. People dye their horses, cats etc. I've seen it all, and I must say, this is a rather nice job, I wonder if the owner did it himself?
Ill be picking up a chow mix from out local sanctuary this weekend.. maybe could do that.. he's black already any way..

Just saying some of you are really over reacting about this, just be happy it wasn't a body mod, like a piercing or what have you. Trust me I've seen stuff like that and the piercings are the worst. so relax about the dye job..

Whoever posted this is a stupid ass fuckhead. And whoever said it was animal cruelty was a stupid ass fuckhead. And for the dumbass who commented on October 9th. You're a stupid ass fuckhead. And all of you PETA motherfuckers... Eat shit and die.

Anonymous said...

well you should calm down first off. . . second off the dog looks super cute, it doens't look like it was abused. . . haven't you ever seen the video where the girl has her poodle died pink every week. That took a lot of work and it paid off. . . it didn't hurt the dog or anything. . . why would you abuse a dog by spending a lot of time making it look that way. if this person wanted to abuse a dog, they wouldn't have done something that took so much trouble and time

Anonymous said...

idiots, thing called non toxic paint. obv u wouldnt paint ur dog in harmful paint. and if u couldnt paint ur dog i doubt theyd sell the stuff for there fur!

Anonymous said...

do you understand you could have put your dog in a terrible state of depression?!

Anonymous said...

probbaly dye. harmless dye. If it is dye, the owner did quite the piece of art.

Anonymous said...

Oh jesus, people. The dog isn't hurt and this isn't cruel. People can dye their hair and it doesnt hurt them, this is the same thing. Really, think a little bit before commenting, hm?

I know people who did this to their chow chow dogs in China were often inquired by police, for they were suspected to possess/abuse national treasures.

So cute!!! How do I have that type of dog!!!

Anonymous said...

I think its really cute and that dog hasnt been abused and it doeasnt look like it, :(

Anonymous said...

that is so cute, get a life animal cruelty c*cks, this obviously is a well looked after, well groomed, well walked (by the look of the quality leash) health looking dog. I would do this to my dog in an instant if i had the right stuff and knowledge. And that is my point, the owner must know how to do it properley because it looks like a real professional job. Why do you go out in your best shirt or dress for a special occasion... to show off, o yeah you wanks must wear track pants and a flannelette shirt because you dont like to parade yourself, get a life

Anonymous said...

uh, wow. it's not cute and think of the poor dog!

Anonymous said...

Ugh, its not cruel! There IS hair dye specifically for dogs so that it doesnt hurt them! It's not like the dog cares what color it is, as long as its loved and fed. That chow chow looks so cute! It would get 100x more love from the people, I'm pretty sure it'll like the attention anyways...

Me said...

black was the natural color, he didn't dye round his eyes morons. i cant stand judgmental people... STOP DYING UR HAIR IF U THINK THIS IS SO BAD!

I'm glad you people have nothing better to do but sit here n judge other people about what they do to their dog, shut up n mind your damn business. he didn't beat the shit out the dog, therefore ITS NOT ANIMAL CRUELTY!

Anonymous said...

this is not cruel and it doesnt hurt the dog at all
i think it is very cute and pretty astonishing that the owner was able to do this and make it look realistic!!!

Jennifer said...

He looks like a white chow anyway, so I'm thinking the owner only had to DYE the black spots (like with non-dangerous HAIR DYE). He doesn't look painted or harmed.
Believe it or not, some animals actually like dressing up. My chow loves her lion hair cuts. She looks like she feels pretty afterwards and is happy about it. And it keeps her cool in the Florida heat. She does feel awkward with bows and stuff though (she would hide and not want people to see her), so we don't do that anymore. Total Tom-boy.
This puppy is probably reveling in the attention he's getting and couldn't be happier with his new look.

Anonymous said...

i think its really artistic and wicked they shud do 1 like pudsey bear for that day lmao :)

Anonymous said...

Omg Cute but but you cant force and paint that pup!

Anonymous said...

WHY? feel bad for the dog?
If you do this with the right paint the dog does not even care.

Anonymous said...

this seems professionally done.. there are dyes for dogs which are safe to use and its just placed on at a special salon.
the dog doesn't give a crap, it looks funny but the dog doesn't mind.
as long as the dog is treated well and doesn't have any other drastic procedures done, this is perfectly fine.
you are all a bunch of little whiners.
at my veterinary clinic, we sometimes have to dye dogs' hair after they get burned or sustain an injury, so that it goes along with the rest of their coat and so they don't get burned by the sun in the lighter skinned area.
so don't hate on the panda dog's owner.
this is quite clever.

Anonymous said...

No...As a professional, this is not what a vetranarian would call professional, dying the tounge of the dog and even the hair, is proven to be dangerous to the pet. This owner should be reported to the animal humane society. This is discusting and abusive and should never of even been posted and should have been reported.Trust me, it will be reported as animal abuse.

Anonymous said...

If somebody tried to do that to my sweet little chow chow mix, I'd knock their teeth out. Physically harmful or not, this is wrong. Animals should not be dyed for attention. They have halloween costumes; there is no reason to use dye.

Anonymous said...

What kind of looser spends their time dying their dog, what a usles waste of space.

Anonymous said...

I meant useless

Anonymous said...

normally i wouldn't think to dye a dog or any other animals fur because i think its cruel...but this one is just so dang cute! what a good idea! i wish my chow chow was fluffy like that!

Anonymous said...

LMAO But Poor Chow But Still Funny

Anonymous said...

All of you who think this is abuse of the dog are a bunch of hypocrits. It doesn't hurt the dog in the least, it is not affecting it or its skin. And I bet that ALL of you annoy your own dogs by putting clothes, glasses, hats, shoes and all that stupids BS that restrict their movements just because you think "they look pretty".

Anonymous said...

I dyed my hair. It didn't hurt?

Anonymous said...

peta sucks. kill animals and eat them.

Anonymous said...

WOW!! everyone who bitched, get a fucking life? COOOL!! i think it's cute. and all the people have a problem with it should shut up. if you don't like it, don't look!

Anonymous said...

omg i think that it cute and all but idk what the hell the person 2 comments before me was thinkin cuz y the hell wound you kill dogs and eat them u stupidass?!?!?!

Anonymous said...

If you've ever had a chow chow then you'd know they really just don't care what you do to them. I don't think it's mean, it's no more mean then me shaving my chow.
